December 2008 update

December has been a busy month for us. The kids tracked out of school on December 5th and after attending a Mark Schultz concert we headed south to Florida. We had a fun visit with Mike's parents and did things like go to the beach, zoo and museum. We also had time to just relax and visit. After we left their house we set sail on a 3 day Disney cruise to the Bahamas. The kids had never been on a cruise before and were amazed at all of the ships amenities. The kids favorite spot was the Mickey pool- a pool shaped like Mickey's head with a super-fast waterslide leading into it! The entertainment was spectacular. Our favorite was the award winning Disney Dreams show. After the cruise we visited Becky's sister (Beth) in the Orlando area and after a stop at Downtown Disney we headed to Jacksonville for a quick visit with Mike's Aunt, Uncle and Grandma. Our visits were over too soon but we are happy that we got to see as much family as we did.



The excitement didn't end after our long drive home. We brought home a new puppy the week that we got back. We lost both Poco (13) and Nala (11) to cancer this year. Dunkin is a male golden retreiver and is currently 8 weeks old. It has been an adjustment having a puppy in the house again. The kids have never experienced the biting and energy that a puppy has. The cats have sort-of gotten used to him. He is a very sweet puppy!
