Hello teachers! Hello books!

Today was our first day of school. Alex and Jessica started kindergarten and Mandy started 3rd grade (sort-of). Our school does staggered entry for kindergarten and today was Alex and Jessica's day to go. They had a great time! Alex liked drawing a map of the school and learned that when you go the principal's office you don't get to return to the classroom. Thankfully, he was told this and didn't learn it first hand! He told me that he didn't get to use his "I message" (as in I don't like that) but he is prepared and has big plans to use it- thanks Beth! Jessica liked drawing pictures and eating in the cafeteria. She liked playing in the home center and blocks area. She met a nice girl today and hopes to make lots of friends next week. Mandy stayed home today since she has been running a temperature for a few days. We were very sad that she missed her first day but hope that she will be able to go tomorrow. She is excited about starting third grade and can't wait to start learning cursive writing. She is hoping that this grade means doing more reading and math and much more recess time!

Great to see the pictures. It is hard to believe the children have grown so much. Greg and I and the boys are in Nashville, TN now. Will Spencer will be starting 2nd grade and Brock will be in Pre-K. Hope all is well!
